Description

The OAK-D Short Range PoE with ToF is a rugged, PoE-connected depth camera that adds a Time-of-Flight sensor for improved short-range accuracy, built for industrial and outdoor robotic vision where precise close-range depth matters.

Key highlights

  • Time-of-Flight depth – a ToF VGA sensor (640x480 @ 30fps) delivers accurate short-range depth and better low-light performance.
  • Active stereo – an IR dot projector aids depth on low-texture surfaces.
  • Global-shutter color – two OV9782 1MP color global-shutter sensors.
  • On-device AI – 4 TOPS of processing power (1.4 TOPS for AI) runs any convertible AI model.
  • Industrial PoE – M12 X-coded PoE connector for power and GigE, with an M8 connector for IO.
  • Rugged enclosure – IP67-rated for industrial and outdoor use.

Main features

  • 4 TOPS of processing power (1.4 TOPS for AI)
  • Run any AI model, even custom architectured/built ones (models need to be converted)
  • Encoding: H.264, H.265, MJPEG, 4K/30FPS, 1080P/60FPS
  • Computer vision: warp (undistortion), resize, crop via ImageManip node, edge detection, feature tracking, plus custom CV functions
  • Stereo depth perception with filtering, post-processing, RGB-depth alignment, and high configurability
  • Object tracking: 2D and 3D tracking with the ObjectTracker node

Connectivity

PoE supplies both power and GigE connectivity, letting cameras communicate over standard networking protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT). On-device flash memory enables standalone mode. The industrial M12 PoE connector handles power and data, while the M8 connector provides IO (USB2, FSIN, STROBE, 5V/GND, GPIO).
