Description
The ROBOTIS OMY-3M is a compact 6-DOF AI manipulator built for Physical AI research, imitation learning and intelligent automation. The 3M is the base configuration of the OMY series — supplied without a gripper or camera so you can fit your own end-effector and sensing — and is powered end-to-end by ROBOTIS's DYNAMIXEL-Y smart actuators with native ROS 2 integration.

- 6 degrees of freedom in a compact arm — up to 580 mm reach, roughly 13.5 kg, on a 170 mm-diameter footprint.
- DYNAMIXEL-Y actuators — YM080 base joints (26 N·m continuous, 61 N·m peak) and YM070 upper joints (14.6 N·m continuous), with under-3-arcmin backlash for repeatable, sub-millimetre precision.
- Exceptional encoder resolution (over 51 million pulses per output revolution with multi-turn tracking) for smooth, accurate motion even at full extension.
- Learning by demonstration — pair with an OMY leader arm for leader–follower teleoperation, imitation learning and reinforcement-learning experiments.
- Built-in safety — hardware E-stop, torque monitoring, gravity compensation and spring-applied brakes.
