10:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HP 6V
This gearmotor is a miniature high-power, 6 V brushed DC motor with a 9.96:1 metal gearbox. It has a cross section of 10 × 12 mm, and the D-shaped gearbox output shaft is 9 mm long and 3 mm in diameter. Key specs at 6 V: 3000 RPM and 120 mA with no load, 4 oz-in (0.3 kg-cm) and 1.6 A at stall. These tiny brushed DC gearmotors are available in a wide range of gear ratios—from 5:1 up to 1000:1—and with five different motors: high-power 6 V and 12 V motors with long-life carbon brushes (HPCB), and high-power (HP), medium power (MP), and low power (LP) 6 V motors with shorter-life precious metal brushes. The 6 V and 12 V HPCB motors offer the same performance at their respective nominal voltages, just with the 12 V motor drawing half the current of the 6 V motor. The 6 V HPCB and 6 V HP motors are identical except for their brushes, which only affect the lifetime of the motor. The HPCB versions (shown on the left in the picture below) can be differentiated from versions with precious metal brushes (shown on the right) by their copper-colored terminals. Note that the HPCB terminals are 0.5 mm wider than those on the other micro metal gearmotor versions (2 mm vs. 1.5 mm), and they are about 1 mm closer together (6 mm vs. 7 mm). 100:1 Metal Gearmotor 20Dx44L mm 6V CB with Extended Motor Shaft
These cylindrical brushed DC gearmotors are available in a wide range of gear ratios, from 25:1 up to 488:1, and with three different motors: 6 V and 12 V motors with long-life carbon brushes (CB), and a 6 V motor with shorter-life precious metal brushes. All three motors offer similar performances at their respective nominal voltages, just with the 12 V motor drawing approximately half the current of the 6 V motor and with the carbon brush versions having longer lifetimes than the one with precious metal brushes. The CB versions, can be differentiated from versions with percious metal brushes (shown on the left) by their copper-colored terminals. These gearmotors are optionally available with an additional 2 mm-diameter output shaft that protrudes 6 mm from the rear of the motor. This rear shaft rotates at the same speed as the input to the gearbox and offers a way to add an encoder, such as our magnetic encoder for 20D mm metal gearmotors as shown in the right picture below, to provide motor speed or position feedback. The gearmotors all have 20 mm diameter gearboxes and 4 mm diameter gearbox output shafts, so it is generally easy to swap one version for another if your design requirements change (though the length of the gearbox tends to increase with the gear ratio). D shaft. Stalling is likely to damage the gearmotor. Stall parameters come from a theoretical extrapolation of performance at loads far from stall. As the motor heats up, as happens as it approaches an actual stall, the stall torque and current decrease.

100:1 Metal Gearmotor 37Dx73L mm 12V with 64 CPR Encoder (Helical Pinion)
This gearmotor is a powerful 12V brushed DC motor with a 102.08:1 metal gearbox and an integrated quadrature encoder that provides a resolution of 64 counts per revolution of the motor shaft, which corresponds to 6533 counts per revolution of the gearbox’s output shaft. The gearbox is composed mainly of spur gears, but it features helical gears for the first stage for reduced noise and improved efficiency. These units have a 16 mm-long, 6 mm-diameter D-shaped output shaft. This gearmotor is also available without an encoder. Key specifications: voltageno-load performancestall extrapolation 12 V 100 RPM, 150 mA 34 kg⋅cm (470 oz⋅in), 5.5 A These motors are intended for use at 12 V, though in general, these kinds of motors can run at voltages above and below the nominal voltage (they can begin rotating at voltages as low as 1 V). Lower voltages might not be practical, and higher voltages could start negatively affecting the life of the motor. The gearboxes are composed mainly of spur gears, but they feature helical gears for the first stage for reduced noise and improved efficiency: 37D Gearmotor (Helical Pinion) with the gearbox removed showing the helical pinion gear and first mating gear. The encoder portion is protected by a black plastic end cap: The end cap is easily removable if you need to access the encoder or want to slightly reduce the overall gearmotor size, but there is a little bit of base plastic that will remain, as shown in the pictures below: Exact gear ratio: 25×30×28×28×30/10×10×12×12×12≈102.083:1 Dimensions Dimensions of the 37D mm metal gearmotor with 64 CPR encoder.
